Description

Highly popular among top-level competitors, the Blizzard Beast was developed around two objectives: maximizing stability without restricting freedom of movement.

Main features

  • Exceptional stability and power transfer thanks to its wraparound shape and pre-formed rib cage support: the dog is securely supported and can lean firmly into the harness, both along the axis and laterally
  • Neckline shape designed to maximize clearance around the throat and airways
  • Inter scapular support and neckline that keep the shoulders clear: maximum freedom of movement
  • Abrasion-resistant Hexaline outer fabric with a refined appearance
  • Soft inner fabric that is gentle on the skin and coat
  • Secure: the dog cannot get out of the harness without assistance. Useful for fearful and/or excitable dogs
  • Reflective strips along the entire length of the harness
  • Can be soaked in water to cool the dog if the temperature requires it.

Who is it for?

It is designed for Eurohounds/ESDs, Pointers, Greysters, and racing-line Huskies, and is generally suitable for lean, athletic dogs.

Good to know

The Blizzard Beast is a performance harness with a closer fit around the neck than a classic harness. Its design has been developed to completely free the shoulders while ensuring fully unobstructed airways.
Its highly enveloping, close-fitting design may make it slightly more difficult to remove than a traditional X-back harness. To make removal easier, first pull the harness up toward the withers, then guide the front legs through elbow first, as shown in the video below. After a few outings, the harness softens slightly, and handling quickly becomes easier and more intuitive.
